Proper sleep and a meal before getting tattooed
It is highly recommended to prepare before getting a tattoo to ensure the entire process goes smoothly and heals properly. Make sure to get a good night of sleep the day before and arrive well rested. Consequently, avoid drinking large amounts of alcohol, as it significantly affects your sleep quality. You should sleep well and eat a nutritious breakfast. Never come to your appointment on an empty stomach. This is especially crucial for first timers. There is no denying that getting a tattoo is a shock to the body and we cannot predict how you will react. For longer sessions, we advise bringing some food with you. Regular meals help regulate your blood sugar levels, which directly impacts your pain tolerance, general fatigue, and even the intensity of bleeding during the session.
Ensure your tattoo artist's comfort
Pay attention to body hydration a few days before your session and keep your skin well moisturized. Drinking more water and applying lotion to the target area will positively affect the speed of your artist’s work.
At Kings of Ink, you can count on coffee, tea, or a cold drink during your session, so do not hesitate to ask for one!
